New York City Police Department officers entered Columbia’s Morningside early on the morning of May 1 to arrest pro-Palestinian demonstrators who had occupied Hamilton Hall. At the time, campus was on lockdown as police cleared Hamilton Hall of a group who broke in and occupied it the night before.
