Tommaso Baronio, a student journalist at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, detailed his observations from the third day of the historic criminal trial of former President Donald Trump to fellow student and colleague Marine Saint.

 

Trump faces 34 felony counts, including falsifying business records related to a sex scandal cover-up involving porn star actress Stormy Daniels. The trial is underway at Manhattan Criminal Court.

Jurors play a critical role in the outcome of any case. And forming an unbiased jury for America’s most controversial president proved to be a difficult task. As jury selection for former President Donald Trump’s trial continued in the city, Cecilia Blotto, a student journalist at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, spoke with Professor Ronald Sullivan, from Harvard Law School, who shared how jury selection in a blue city like New York affects the makeup.
